Going out with the boys tonight might have been a mistake. Not so much going to the bar with his buddies, that had all be a lot of fun. However, after a few drinks and someone else paying for the food, he had packed away his fair share of food.
Zach shuffled through the door of his apartment, shrugging out of his jacket and hanging it on the hook by the door. He ditched his keys on the counter as he walked through the kitchen and into the living room. It was then he collapsed onto the sofa with a heavy sigh. A light hiccough escaped his lips and he brought a hand to his stomach.

She took a huge breath and swallowed it down, nearly drowning in all the aromas that drifted over from the kitchen just off the foyer. She made quick work of removing her scarf and jacket, balancing the brown paper bag in her hand with the bottle of red wine. “Can I bring you another beer?” You blink, breaking out of your near-food coma. Keeping your eyes open is hard. Breathing is hard. Sitting up is hard. You’ve eaten so much you aren’t even sure where you are any more. All the blood in your brain has rushed to your swollen stomach. You can’t really feel much, except full. You look up at the waiter and burp. Louder and longer than you expected. Usually you would be incredibly embarrassed but in this case you can’t be bothered to even cover your mouth. You rub your stomach sleepily. It feels bloated and hard. You look down at your stomach, how did you get this stuffed? Your shirt is stretched right across its roundness. Your pants got unbuttoned ages ago, you can’t imagine buttoning them back. How did you eat so much? You look at the stack of plates in front of you. You had been starving when you arrived at the resort, deciding you would enjoy this all inclusive resort yourself after your friends dropped out. Maybe that was how you lost all your inhibitions at the buffet and ended up taking plate after plate after plate back to the table, no one around to judge you, eventually taking longer breaks to digest and burp between plates, until you found yourself hiccuping while carrying a bowl of ice cream in each hand, your overstuffed gut bouncing with each hiccup. You notice melted chocolate ice cream on your shirt. You only stopped going up for more when you realised you were literally too full to stand. You can’t imagine fitting anything else inside you, you feel like the absolute definition of gluttony, you should feel ashamed, but why? You smile bashfully at the waiter “You know what? I’ll have two”
